The last quarter

Reflection Paper: The Ups and Downs of the 4th Quarter   As I sit back and look at the pages of my planner filled with crossed-out deadlines and highlighted milestones, I realize that the 4th quarter has been a journey of extremes—one that pushed me to my limits with stress, yet rewarded me with moments of pure happiness I will not soon forget.   The stress hit hard from the very start. With final exams looming over every subject, research papers due in quick succession, and a group project that seemed to grow more complex by the day, there were nights when I found myself staring at my laptop screen, coffee mug in hand, wondering if I could possibly keep up. I remember spending an entire weekend buried in textbooks for my calculus class, struggling to wrap my head around differential equations that felt like a foreign language. The pressure to maintain my grades, meet my teachers’ expectations, and also make time for my family and friends felt overwhelming at times. Ther...

But for those who understand love in its truest form, every moment can feel like Valentine’s Day, a celebration not just of romantic affection, but of the countless bonds that weave meaning and warmth into our lives.   Love, in all its manifestations, does not adhere to a calendar. It lives in the quiet morning coffee prepared by a partner before the world wakes up, in the steady hand of a parent guiding a child across a busy street, and in the heartfelt message from a friend who senses we need support before we even speak. These small, everyday gestures are the essence of what Valentine’s Day is meant to honor—connections that sustain us, lift us, and make life worth living. When we recognize love in these ordinary moments, we transform our days into a continuous celebration of the people who matter most.  ...
